FAMILIES SUPPORTED LAST YEAR

Community Outreach services

This service offers resettlement support to families moving on from the safe houses, those who want to remain at home safely and remove their abusive partner, or want to stay at home because they don’t want to leave their abusive partner. They may also want to move to safer accommodation within the community, or may decide to come into a safe house.

Practical and emotional support is given to help families to keep safe and also help with any court proceedings, parenting support, connecting into the community and planning for the future. Survivors and their children can access counselling, including culturally appropriate counselling delivered by Nilaari, and there are a range of specialist workers for those that have specific support needs such as survivors with a Learning Disability, older women with care and support needs, LGBTQ+ dedicated support, survivors who are black or from a minority ethnic community and those who have extra support needs such as substance misuse or mental ill health.

We also provide drop in surgeries in central and east Bristol.
