We know that domestic abuse can affect anyone from any background or community, and we want all services and professionals to be able to identify and respond appropriately to anyone who may need help and support.

We have specialist Domestic and Sexual abuse workers co-located in

• Bristol Royal Infirmary’s Emergency Department
• Bristol City Council Housing Services
• Bristol City Council’s Families in Focus Teams
• Victim Support IDVAs in Bridewell’s Lighthouse Safeguarding Hub

Staff working in these departments receive training around domestic abuse and daily advice from our workers. They also refer directly to our specialist workers so victims and survivors can be given help and support when they need it.
